A FSBO Nugget

NAR's 2007 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers says that only 12% of the transactions in 2007 were FSBO, unchanged from 2006. The level of homes sold without professional representation has declined steadily since 1997, when it hit a record 18%. (And 4 out of 10 of these so-called FSBO's traded between parties who knew each other in advance, such as family members, and therefore did not make the open market.
